As a Workshop Coordinator for this awesome international conference, you bet I'm going to be there!

If you are attending the conference or are in the Raleigh area, please reach out to me! Let's grab a cup of coffee together! If we already know each other, we will catch up. If we are meeting for the first time, I bet we will find commonalities & ways to support each other &/or collaborate. I look forward to seeing your smiling face!

Make the most of your Leap Day by helping launch the next merit badge of the Art Adventure Club!

A salon-style event full of intellectual conversation & community building among anyone who identifies as an artist &/or adventurer. Hobbyists, professionals & everything in between are all welcome!

You know that project idea that sits in the back of your mind? It wakes up every time you see something related to it. You somehow get sucked down that trail every time something related to it pops up in your news feeds. That idea just might be your next "Passion Project." Passion Projects are usually done on a longer timeline. However, rarely are they completed without a plan. This AAC Merit Badge will walk you through the steps from start to end for completing your Passion Project. Not only will you complete your project, but you will also complete a merit badge!

Bring a snack or beverage to share. As always, feel to bring a portable project if you enjoy working on something while hanging out with friends.

This event is being hosted in the FANTASTIC Seyferth Literary Salon, free of charge to AAC. If you enjoy this event & the space, please consider donating a few dollars to the Seyferth Literary Salon for Rebecca's generosity in lending her space to us.

The Art Adventure Club events are designed for adults. Supervised kids (17 and under) are welcome, but the expectation is that *everyone* in attendance will actively participate. So, if you have a kiddo who also identifies as an artist &/or adventurer, they are welcome to participate...but we aren't here to babysit. We are here to build a community of shared interests in art & adventure.

Join the Club! On the first Wednesday of each month we will gather to play artsy adventurous games. Depending on weather (KC weather can get wild), we may hit the streets for a walking adventure then chill with a board game after. If it is nasty out, we will play it up safely inside the Pawn & Pint "Clubhouse."

Don't feel like playing a game, but still want an artsy excuse to get out & connect with other people? Come! Feel free to bring your latest project to work on while we all are building this Art Adventure community together.

The Art Adventure Club is open to anyone who can or wants to identify as an artist or adventurer. We take both words in the broadest sense. Oh ...also this is the newest sort-of-secret society.

The Art Adventure Club KC is excited to host an introduction to the new plastics recycling program at Scraps KC!

Scraps KC now has the machines in-house to straight up recycle #2, #4 & #5 plastics! AAC attendees will get to learn all about the machines, watch them in motion & possibly even be trained to use! We will then brainstorm ways to utilize the recycled plastics in our own artwork and ways to connect others who might find this product useful in their work.

During this event, you can also alleviate some of your artistic waste worries through our second Creative Supply Exchange. Bring your ...well... scraps from old projects or the supplies from that random skill you decided to try 3 years ago but ended up not liking. Whatever supplies are leftover after the exchange, will be donated directly to Scraps KC creative reuse center.

After all of that fun, as a bonus, all AAC attendees get to hang out in their Party Room to work on whatever projects we want - bring your own or start one with supplies you pick up from the exchange or buy right there from Scraps KC!

*Make sure to peruse the list of supplies that Scraps KC does and does not accept before schlepping your supplies to the party.
