50 years ago today, this natural amphitheater farmland turned into one of the most historic concert events ever.

My Dad loved listening to the Woodstock recording. I grew up on it. He taught me to love it. However, I haven't ever been able to identify why that event was so cool. Why did it hold everyone's attention? Why was my dad so enamored by it? Why didn't he just attend, if he loved the music so much?

In June, I had trainings at camps in the area & had...

Yes, I waited to post this on a day when we were having severe weather. I am that person who gets a kick out of the moment when "Blame it on the Rain" plays just as the sprinkles begin, or when the lightning flashes and "The Thunder Rolls" starts playing. I love those kind of moments!

To create The KC Curiosity Passport, I have to go scout out locations to place the letterboxes that correspond with my mini-mosaics. Today, I happened to arrive at the public...

  3. Why did you stop making episodes of Everyday Adventures Podcast?

The Kansas City area has become quite the hub of coffee. As a former barista & coffee shop manager, I love the smell, the taste, the people, the community...well, I love the entirety of a good coffee shop. Let's be real though, enough chit chat! Let's get to the coffee talk! [This list is not in a particular order of preference. Each location has a special place in my coffeeshop-lovin' heart.]

Holy podcasts, Batman! We are already on Ep 9?!

On April 15, 2017, Amy & I were invited to a state-wide instameet hosted by TravelKS.com in the adorable town of Lindsborg, KS. We requested the freedom to also record for the podcast...for you! We think each of our guests give us a unique perspective of why #NoPlaceLikeKS is a really fitting hashtag for the whole state!

On a side note, as this was our first time recording on the road, we learned a lot of what n...

I always love the start of new things, the start is full of hope, ideas, and excitement. at the start you can let your imagination run wild (this can be bad, if you get sucked into the ‘what might go wrong’ train of thought) and dream of all the things you want to do, which is why I love our #FutureFridays tag. it's the chance to share all the things that excite us and keep us dreaming.

this week we rolled out our newest idea, a themed post each day, outside...

Procrastination is my go-to way of completing things. That is one of the many reasons I am taking on the Year of Creative Habits challenge.

To go along with my love of procrastination, I also am prone to wallowing in the decision of buying things. I have once again done this with buying new video editing software.

Do I want it? Yes.

Have I outgrown the free software that came with my computer? Yes.

Do I need it? NO...at least that is what my penny-pinching min...

A new year = a new adventure!

In Nov 2015, while showing at The Hip Handmade Market, I met Crystal Moody. Her dog portraits drew me in. We chatted. She was excited to hear me ramble about the Fountains Project & how one little idea snowballed into life changing projects. She too had taken on big projects for the last two years (A Year of Creative Habits). A few weeks later, she posted that she would be sharing her experience with a community of interested cr...
